Responsive List Buildng - Building A Responsive List By Targeting Your Subscribers

One of the biggest challenges in list building is making sure that you build a list that is responsive. Many publishers neglect to do this and just concentrate on numbers. Big lists look impressive, but the profits lie in the rate of conversion to sales that your list is producing.
One of the most common problems in building a responsive list, is building it with people who are not from your specialized niche market. When you do this you pick up all sorts of people from different market and they are not necessarily interested in your products and services. In fact many will not even open and read your newsletter.
In order to avoid this, and build a strong responsive list, you will need to use methods of list building that will attract people from your niche market. Here are a couple of ways that you can do this.
1. Your website: not only can you gather visitors from your own website but can swap opt-in boxes with other web masters and publishers who have businesses that are complimentary to yours. In this way you can both help each other to build your subscriber lists. This can be an effective way to build your list quickly.
2. Forums and business networks: You will need to find forums and business networks that are relevant to your industry. Here you cannot advertise but are allowed to use your little sig file at the end of your post. Post questions and answers here and you will soon be looked up to as an expert in your field. This will attract people to your website and they will sign up for your newsletter.
